Nutrition Tips for Healthy life

Nutrition plays an important role in our healthy lifestyle, to live a healthy life you need to take nutritious food every day. There are certain tips to be followed to maintain good health, they are

  1. Eat six meals a day.  If you’ve been following the typical nutritional advice of cutting back on calories and consuming no more than “three square meals” a day in the hope of shifting your fat-burning efforts into high gear, you may actually be throwing the whole process into reverse.
  2. Drink 10 glasses of water everyday.  It’s especially important to stay well hydrated when following a comprehensive training, nutrition, and supplementation program. Drink at least one glass of water with each of your six meals, and four more throughout the day.
  3. Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.  Fruits and vegetables are packed with beneficial fibers, vitamins and antioxidants.
  4. Drink Fewer Calories.  Drinking beverages such as soda, fruit juice, sports drinks, alcohol, specialty coffees and teas can add up to many “empty calories”.

Vitamins and the Body

Vitamins are essential nutrients, which mean that it is necessary to eat them to live and be healthy. In fact, the word vitamin comes from the Latin word for life, which is “vita.” Vitamins are part of important processes throughout the body. For example, vitamins help release energy from food, help keep skin and nerves healthy, and help make red blood cells.

The body needs more than a dozen different vitamins to remain healthy. Vitamins are all different from each other, and one vitamin cannot substitute for another in the body. Some vitamins have several different closely related forms that occur naturally in food. Because vitamins can have various forms, there may see several different names for the same vitamin. This can be confusing when trying to choose a healthful diet.

Fat Soluble Vitamins

The fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E, and K.  They are usually found with fats in food, and the body absorbs them best when people eat them with some fat. Do not worry about adding fat to the diet so that there will be enough fat soluble vitamins.

Water Soluble Vitamins

The water soluble vitamins are all of the B vitamins, or “B complex” and vitamin C. The B vitamins are thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B1 2, biotin, and pantothenic acid. All of the water soluble vitamins are easily lost in cooking water.
